A local ham has a camper van (RV?) and regularly travels around the
countryside using a tarcker on HF and 2m.
He is interested in being able to see certain mobiles located in his
home region when he is in a distant location and using HF APRS, yet
the other mobiles back 'home' are on 2m.
What would be really neat is if a DIGI_NED digi/gate had two ports,
one on 2m and one on HF, and a command that enabled only one or a
small groups of stations on one port (2m) to be digipeated via the
other port (HF) with a different path.
Ideally it would be perfect if there was a limit on how many HF
beacons per 10 minutes could be transmitted of course.
This "only-from-specific-stations" feature could also be handy for
2m-only digis deployed for special purposes such as a sporting event
where there is a need to digipeat only certain trackers to a finish
line APRS display which might be in a poor RF location.
