Group Description

As you know, fighting brain tumors and finding a cure is a matter very close to our hearts. A dear friend of ours Jeff was diagnosed with an incredibly aggressive brain tumor in 1999. We knew that time was limited to get Jeff any help we could. What we learned was that there was a lot of information and options out there, some of which was helpful, some of which was not, some of which was affordable, and some of which sounded great, but really was not applicable to our needs. Although we were not able to find a cure for Jeff, who passed away in 2003, we realized that a family in our situation needs help – to find and clarify information, to find the right medical team, to help defray expensive medical costs, to strive to find a cure, and to be a shoulder to cry on. Jeff's family started Have A Chance, Inc., a not-for-profit foundation to help individuals and their families who are suffering from this dreaded disease and others like it. Please visit www.haveachance.org for more information on our efforts and our mission.
