Group Description

purpose of this site is for members to provide or request items to be included in a historical timeline i am developing to formally document what till now has been passed on by word of mouth. the motherlode of devotee lore if u will.

this is not a place to post pictures or videos. they will not be allowed. i will ban spamers as quickly as possible. this site is not listed in the public directory in order to minimize spamming.

appropriate items to be included are who, what, where, how, when and why the devotee phenomenon got where it is today. while this is a serious project and difficult undertaking, i'll attempt to keep the finished product lighthearted and interject whatever humor, satire and sarcasm i can and request others do the same.

i don't want this to become a general discussion group about the devotee phenomenon, there are plenty of those already. what i really want is input for the history. i recognize this involves discussion and that's fine, but as moderator, i'll try and keep the discussion narrowly focused.

having used the word moderator, i'd best explain. in an attempt to further discourage spammers, i've changed the group settings so that new members are moderated. once a new member provides a topical submission, i'll change his status to unmoderated.

i am looking for anecdotes and commentaries about our past as well as biographical information about devotees and amputees of note.

i am also looking for co-editors. preferabely devotees with extensive personal experience who will help piece the bits of info we receive into a meaningful, cohesive diagram of where we came from.

in a sense this site will be a tribute to those who went before and a legacy for those who follow.
