      This is the biggest surprise to me about JXTA. Its really a small
      sub-set of the things you'd want which makes it astonishingly
      extensible in principle, but in practice this makes it far from being
      an environment where you can build portable code w/o having to define
      some APIs yourself.

      This is the biggest difference in the attitude towards developers
      between JXTA and HailStorm: Microsoft calls even the schema that
      defines HailStorm interactions 'plumbing', whereas Sun thinks of http
      as too high in the stack to implement within JXTA.
