Fwd: Who's the superstitious one here?

Just thinking, after going rounds with skeptoids on Court TV forum and
reading the posts on JREF, and looking back over various tussles, it
that skepti-bunnies have over the top expectations when it comes to
other paranormal phenomena.
For example, some things I've noticed:
1.They call charteristics of psychic ability, etc. "super power"
Even after you tell them it's normal and natural and something you've
your life and no big deal, THEY think it is. They don't believe in it,
but are still
2. Assume or expect that "being psyhic" means you can:
do it anytime you want, anywhere, as if it's a faucet you just turn on
can predict things you "should" predict: wars, disasters, the lottery
that taking Randi's "challenge" will prove once and for all it's
what happens if, during the testing or challenge, you don't
anything? Does that mean it's not "real" ... how will such results be
They know nothing of the topic, but have all kinds of expectations.
3. Tell you one reason why they don't believe you is because you
bewildered/fascinated/scared/awed about it as they are. If THEY had
"powers" then by golly, they'd be standng on top of the Empire State
and shouting it to the world.
more but I'm very tired...
