- It can be done manually without visiting any personal settings on Yahoo
Those are the instructions:
Simply send email to this address:
After that, system will send you automatic confirmation message. When you
receive that confirmation message, simply send blank Reply on that message
and that's it.
I am active on various groups even before the existance of yahoogroups, so I
am remembering these good old methods that are still working.

After you click onto groups.yahoo.com, click Manage(on the left hand side of
page), then Edit My Groups(towards the center of the page), then check the
box marked Leave Group (on the right hand side of page)if you wish to leave
this group, and remember to save changes. Again the steps are
groups.yahoo.com> Manage> Edit My Groups> Check the Leave Group box> Save
