      This report
      ~ documents the experience of partnering hospitals and NGOs which introduced the Phila Impilo participation process with children,

      ~ identifies ways in which partnering organizations created more "child friendly" and holistic health services,

      ~ presents recommendations for improved policy and practice in South African health services for children from the partners and professional task team members, and

      ~ identifies a need for urgent collaboration between the Depts of Education, Health & Social Welfare in holistic health service provision.
