Historic Congressional Cemetery is hosting its bicentennial on
Saturday, May 19 with a series of tours and other activities. At 2pm,
Martin Murray will host a tour of grave sites associated with Walt
Whitman, including those of his comrade Peter Doyle, and Doyle's
brother Francis Michael (a DC policeman slain in the line of duty),
Civil War soldier John Mahay and nurse Rose Billings (featured in
Specimen Days), and photographer Mathew Brady. The tour will last
approximately 1 hour. To find out what else is happening at the
cemetery that day, check out the Spring Newsletter on the
      Association's website at www.congressionalcemetery.org.
