- Another way to add weight is to take a PL259 plug and unscrew it so
that you see the place where you would solder the braid. Keep on
unscrewing it until you have a space between the end of the cap and
the edge of the plug wide enough so that the knurled nut of the weight
will fit inside.
Put that knurled nut inside that gap and tighten up a bit.
Works very well - and most hams have a few dead PL259´s around the junk box.
