- I have a J36 Fred with a huge old cap ( .0005MFD, 2000VDC ) looks
like a piece of chocolate, so will
try it on other bugs. Thanks for the tip. Going to use bugs/pounders
almost exclusively for 2008 - should be fun.

New rigs are so fast, they will try to follow micro-second make and
breaks as the contacts slide across the face. You may be able to
defeat that simply by putting a .1 cap across the key. it will
remain charged long enough to bridge that nastiness.
