I knew the plan was for it to decode PSK and display the scrolling
text, but this is the first I heard that it would translate it to
      audible Morse.

The Kenwood TS-2000 has packet decoder built in and the Icom 746ProII
has an RTTY decoder built in, so decoding and displaying a digital
mode isn't a new idea, but what I found interesting is the K3 can
SEND digital modes without a computer or keyboard, but taking the
characters from your paddles! That would make it truly portable
while still allowing you to work digital.

On the decode-to-Morse thing, I wonder if they'll have some buffer
that will allow the Morse to be slowed. PSK31 averages about 50 WPM.
