In our charter, we mention the following:
      >>This group has been created specifically for licensed ham radio
      >>operators and telegraph key collectors, owners of the Vibroplex brand.
      >>If you are a CW enthusiast, please come and join in this group to
      >>discuss, trade key parts (at your own risk) and exchange on the subject.
      >>Only Vibroplex equipment, and/or morse (international or
      >>continental) related messages will be accepted.
      >>The administration of this group has no interest in the Vibroplex
      >>Company Inc. or any of it's affiliates.

I'm wondering if it might be OK to open the list up to ALL
bugs -- but I'm not going to do this on my own, I want approval from
the membership for this. If the membership says "no", then we'll
      keep it the same.

      Any thoughts on this?

      Thanks,
      Earl

This group started because the Vibroplex group became dormant. The original
idea (not speaking for the owner) was to provide an alternative for that
particular group. Opening this group up to all bug users is a natural step,
            just not one taken yet.

I'm pretty certain the consensus will be for all bugs.

All bugs. After all, you see what happened to the old Vibroplex list. It died. Perhaps with a little broader inclusion - this list will fair better.

I would tag along with David. While I enjoy and use my Blue Racer for most of my CW activity, I still appreciate my "Deluxe Model" Mac Key and it's cousin ( the TAC bug). Learning about the various types and manufacturers is what helps me to enjoy the hobby.

My vote is for all bugs. Makes things more interesting.

                            73,
