      Steve,
From the picture, it appears the parts that are missing can be obtained from Vibroplex (just give Betsy a call).  No reason why this bug can't be your key for learning.  The Original is hard to beat in its flexibility and adaptability to speed-slowing devices.  Shine her up and start having fun.  While you're waiting for the screw for your second weight, you can anchor it to the other one using your favorite kind of tape.(mine is DUCT)

            Hello Steve

You have an Original DeLuxe and Vibrokeyer Paddle they look like they
just need the contacts cleaned up and adjusted and the bug and paddle
will look great with a clean up. I see one screw is missing on one

Home Depot or a lighting store they sell replacement lamp 6-32 screws
for lamps and they fit the Vibroplex weights. I use Mothers Chrome
Polish to clean up the Chrome Parts and base. If you do need parts Yes
Betsy is great. She looked after a contact installation on my '51
Original DeLuxe. A quick and easy "Bug Tamer" is what I call my 2
Cents Worth Tamer 2 pennies clipped with an Alligator Clip that slides
on the Pendelium Shaft nicely. That slows my Blue Racer or Original
DeLuxe to about 14 WPM. That would be a nice speed to learn on. The
other key is a Paddle that requires a Keyer to make the Dit's and
Dah's electronicaly. Most late model rigs have built in Keyers. Have
good luck with your keys Steve.
