      It's possible to mount the VariSpeed farther out on the rod,
      so that the entire weight is beyond the damper, but I can't imagine
      doing that -- it's pretty slow already as it is, perhaps 10-12 WPM or
      so. Swiveling it toward the finger pieces speeds it up more than I
      want to think about, and that's with both a small weight AND a large
      weight on it.

      On second thought, maybe I DO need it slower -- 10 or so is
      enough to make my brain hurt trying to copy it! <G>
