      Hi, All -

The fully-automatic bug project is moving along, this time with a design that I call the QuadraBug.  It is so-called because it uses a compound pendulum, with elements that are in a quadrature arrangement.  I had been calling it the OrthoBug (because of the orthogonal relationship), but that sounded too much like an insecticide.  I have uploaded some photos to the
Photos section (under WB9LPU's Stuff), and there is a video on YouTube at  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=STCHW5SA92o where you can hear and see it in operation.

Another version of the bug is also working (see the last photo), and I am planning a video and write-up as time permits.

Wow, Rich, excellent craftsmanship! That is the neatest thing I ve seen a long while. The pendulum looks like a living thing wiggling around in the center.

The video is very well made, too.
