I adjust so the wheel can roll, and at rest touches the vibratator just rests on it.

Greeting to everyone!
I just happened to run across this nice group and thought I would like to join, especially after reading some of the past postings.
I have been using a bug for many years and I have never actually ran across any (official) documentation on the proper setting or adjustment of the little DAMPER WHEEL.
I have always adjusted the center screw inside the damper wheel to allow the damper wheel to be just a little bit loose on the damper arm and of course afterwards re-snugging the small 4-36 nut in order to lock the screw in position.
I would further say just loose enough so that you can take your finger and barely wobble the wheel just a little bit. That setting has always seemed to work out best for me over the years.
Any comments would be welcomed!
