      Hi Joe,

I haven't seen one, but it reminds me--

There will be a special "Norcross Day" on 8 October to commemorate the original Vibroplex factory location in Norcross, Georgia (a suburb northeast of Atlanta).  I am not directly involved in that event because my speed isn't good enough (sending or receiving) to get on the air with my Vibroplex yet.  But there will be a special-event station on the air, and the really special treat is that there will be an ORIGINAL Norcross bug on the air, courtesy of KT5X I believe.

The North Georgia QRP Club will be the primary sponsor of the event and will supply most of the ops.  The details are still being worked out, but I know that the Norcross bug is now in hand!

they were on mainly ones made in Georgia that had the thinner bases, but have

Anybody know where I might find a picture of one?

Thanks, Andy. I had not heard about the event yet, but I will keep an eye out for announcements. I just acquired a 1955 Blue Racer Deluxe, but I won t see it

I just acquired a 1955 Blue Racer Deluxe, but I won't see it until I go up to the states
in late October or early November and bring it down here.  I have three Originals
now and feeling much more comfortable with them.  I still stumble a bit when I switch
from the keyer to the bugs, but that is what I am working towards is the ability to switch
        smoothly between them.

Thanks for the heads up and will look forward to hearing from them.  I did send an
e-mail to Fred, KT5X, but I think it was blocked by AOL.

Yes, vibroplex made a thin base with an articulated arm.  While some think they were all made in Norcross, they were produced before Norcross, and very few bugs of any kind were produced in Norcross, so, who knows.  Here is a photo of one.
