Anyone seen a Lightning bug painted blue-green?

    I have one that I got on ebay that was missing the nameplate. I saw another one the same color once. I guess someone repainted a J-36 or a batch of them.

      As far as I know Lightning Bugs - were made in grey (WW2 until mid 1950s), then black, and a few Sienna Brown around 1969. Prior to WW2 this key appeared in

        As far as I know Lightning Bugs - were made in grey (WW2 until mid 1950s), then black, and a few Sienna Brown around 1969.  Prior to WW2 this key appeared in nickle plate, after WW2 in chrome plate, as well as the standard black and earlier than that in Japaned black (asphault paint) and gold detailing of pin stripes and little edge designs.

          No I haven't seen a green Lightning Bug but, I am in the process now of painting the base of  one of my Blue Racers...Deep Maroon.  Its gonna look cool.  I saw one in Fred KT5X's collection.  I'll probably do another one Cobalt Blue.
