      Hi gang,

I am looking for a copy of the "Vibroplex Collector's Guide" by Tom French.
He's SOLD OUT on the website. I just picked up (sight unseen)a 1944 Original
(S# 135,623) ($25!!) and things don't add up. Someone has changed the finger
pieces (clear oval), but it has a black crackle base, red circuit closer knob
and copper braid between the lever and frame (squared off frame, too, not
rounded). At first I thought it was a WWII Deluxe Original, but they are said
to have a "Battleship Gray" base. The name plate is standard Vibroplex style of
the times (with patent #s) but does NOT appear to be brass (gray metal).

If anyone has a copy of the Vibroplex Collector's Guide they can do without,
please contact me off-list at k5prt(at)arrl(dot)net.

      Thanks,
      Pete
