      I believe Betsy at Vibroplex said they use Duco cement for affixing
      the newer non-threaded "plastic decorative pieces" and the new
      rivet-less plates.

      I'd be tempted to use hot glue as it could be pushed down and held for
      a short period and be stuck. Epoxy offers the problem of too much
      permanency.
