Group Description

When the smoke clears, we find ourselves in the kaleidoscopic world of 1967 and its free flow of love and unknown substances. We also see a band - The Yardbirds - now a four-piece entity. What happened and where did they go?

Jeff Beck left the band during the first week of November 1966, but his leaving was not as traumatic as it could of been. Jeff's occasional non-appearances at gigs forced Keith Relf, Jim McCarty, Chris Dreja and Jimmy Page to function as a self-contained unit. These early four-piece gigs, out of necessity, prepared them well for their future endeavours. In early December 1966, Beck was officially fired from the group after the conclusion of The Yardbirds' US tour...As a quartet the first recording was "You Stole My Love" on December 22, 1966. -(Excerpt from the LP "Cumular Limit," written by Greg Russo): Still currently available through http://www.amazon.com.
