      I am looking for a contract technical writer in the Phoenix area, so please forward this to any colleagues you may know there.
      Job responsibilities
      o Analyze and develop technical content for customer design-in of Freescale silicon for each targeted market segment
      o Generate technical content for internal and end-user documentation (reference manuals, user's guides, architecture documents, application notes, data sheets (electrical/mechanical characteristics), and errata)
      o Work closely with global, distributed product development teams and product marketing to:
      o resolve issues in customer documents, marketing collateral, tools-related collateral, and design specifications
      o produce supplementary material for customers
      o Able to receive, organize, and manage multiple project requests
      o Work in compliance with corporate process and identity standards
      o Serve as customer advocate on internal process/technical issues
      o Expected to be self-motivated and self-directed (that is, must take direction well from team leadership, but require nominal daily supervision)

      Required qualifications
      o Semiconductor industry experience (hardware and software in computing and embedded markets)
      o Strong written technical communication skills
      o Proficient in English language and grammar
      o Strong organizational skills
      o Demonstrated experience with content management systems
      o Expertise in single-sourcing concepts

      Desired qualifications
      o Bachelors Electrical Engineering or similar (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, etc)
      o 3+ years relevant experience
      o Advanced FrameMaker book techniques
      o FrameMaker template design (creation and debugging)
      o Structured/XML authoring
      o Metadata use in closed repositories (for search and organization)
      o HTML and basic Javascript
      o DTD, Schema, CSS
