I'd be grateful if List members would send me the titles and the URLs
of any websites you know of that deal with the HJ and the rise/origins
of early Christianity. I'm trying to compile a resource page for XTalk.

      Thanks in advance,

      Yours,

I have tried to gather the best ones together on the Historical Jesus section
        of New Testament Web Resources:

        http://www.bham.ac.uk/theology/goodacre/Jesus.htm

Incidentally, I have done a little re-design of the New Testament Web
Resources site in general and I would (as always) be grateful for any input,
especially if there any suggestions for additions.

        Have a good weekend

        Mark

I think my web site falls exactly in this category:
          http://www.concentric.net/~Mullerb/
The title is: The Historical Jesus, a Reconstruction: The Story of a Man
          Bernard

            Hello Mark,

Here's the address for my page:

            http://www.interpres.cz/x/index.htm

you may find it too unorthodox for your purposes. In co-authoring this work
I wanted to see how far the thesis could be taken, and the "fit" with an
ancient stage performance was always surprising to me as I pursued that line
            of research.

You should have received a message from egroups asking for you to vote on who
the moderators of Xtalk should be. I should some notes:

                  (1) Lest any new subscribers think that this is a palace coup, I should explain
that when the new group was formed from the ashes of the old Crosstalk, we
decided that it would be a good idea to nominate moderators for this new group.
I offered to coordinate this. Nominations were taken for a week, ending
yesterday, and those nominated were approached to see if they were willing to
                  stand.

                  (2) Some of those nominated expressed a reluctance to stand as full moderators
but said that they would be happy to help out in an advisory capacity. It
seems a good idea, therefore, that the new moderators should co-opt as advisors
                  those they think appropriate.

                  (3) This is a secret ballot and a tally of votes will not be given on the list.

Please direct any questions to me, and don't forget to vote soon!

                  Mark Goodacre
