      Dennis

This looks like the sort of thing I am looking for.

Presently I am trying to imagine the masses of ordinary folk in the large
cities and ports; their backgrounds, lives, jobs; their families--yesterday
I got FAMILIES IN THE NT WORLD, Osick and Balch out of the library here.

For contrast the other day I came across a beautifully illustrated book on
ANCIENT ROME, Liberati and Bourbon. But I need to know more about street
crime, policing--could women circulate safely? Slavery--rural as well as
      urban, etc.

      Many thanks,

      Brian
