Low Tide Bike Ride, Thursday 2 March
- BRIGHTON & HOVE LOW TIDE BIKE RIDE, Thursday 2 March 2006
Meet on the beach by the western wall of Brighton Marina at 6pm
(Ride sets off at 6.30pm to catch the lowest tide)
Hi-de-hi, Brighton & Hove cycling folks!
The Spring Tide, one of the lowest tides of the year, is next month.
To mark the occasion, a group of us will be cycling from Brighton Marina to
the King Alfred Centre in Hove, riding solely along the exposed sand flats.
We did this last year during the low Autumn Tide. It was a hilariously fun
adventure. At the end, some hardly souls even went for a spontaneous skinny
dip in the balmy autumnal waters!
Join us on 2 March! Bring bikes, waterproofs and lights, and remember to
thoroughly wash the salt and sand off your bike afterwards. If you're
worried about using your own bike, pick a scrap one up from a skip.
See you there!
