Group Description

The Coven of the Whispering Willows is an eclectic Wiccan family coven; focused on teaching, and serving the Arkansas/Oklahoma area. We meet in-person in a private location to celebrate New and Full moon Esbats, observe the eight annual Wiccan Sabbats, and have classes for adults and children. We work rituals robed, but all other events are casual. We hold ritual outside, along with bonfires, cookouts, camping, and all around good fun. :)
Our system is based on the 13 P.O.B's, Law of Return (Three-fold Law), and the Wiccan Rede. We do not claim a formal established initiatory lineage. Our coven is hierarchical, but with all members expected to participate rather than rely on the High Priest or High Priestess. Classes are held once a week, Sabbats and Esbats are “swung” to meet the needs of members. (Usually within 2-3 days of actual event.)

The Coven of the Whispering Willows has limited membership with applicants going through a thorough screening process before being invited to attend a meeting, and eventually being invited to become a permanent member. It is important for us to have a group who works well together. Coven members bond strongly, and become family. As such, applicants who are not a good fit for our group will be encouraged to contact other groups in the area.
We have an Inner Court and Outer Court system:
Coven members (Inner Court) are required to take classes, and allowed to vote on coven decisions.
Outer Court members are not required to take classes, but have access to basic material for a trial period. Outer Court may only attend approved rituals and events.
Applicants must be self-motivated, be able to set aside the necessary time in their lives, and be willing to make a commitment to the coven and its meetings and functions. We do not accept applications from those who are under 18.
