Does anyone know which positions are being eliminated at Cowles?

Does that mean Cowles students will have less P.E. during the week next year? ________________________________ From: Karen Sissel To:

I heard they lost the counselor.  All elementary music, p.e. and art teachers also received excess notices, but will be added back after they cut all band and orchestra programs from the elementary buildings and figure out which teachers have the most seniority.  Then they will add them back, but many of those who had full time positions will be split between two or three schools.

For those looking ahead to middle school, Callanan lost the drama program, family consumer science, tech ed, 1 science, 1 social studies, and 1 math position as well as our dean of students.  Therefore, Callanan will have to say good-bye to teaming and flex scheduling and will have to say hello to larger class sizes and less opportunities for students to learn from a variety of fine and applied arts experiences.

A very sad day for the students and the community!!!
