      Its actually a historical fact,  that in the days the Shorter Catechism was  written by the Divines,  young children  knew it better and were more  skilled in having it memorized better than  most people are today are  upon entering seminary college.

      I believe it was the Shorter Catechism than was recommended for young
      children, by the Divines.
