      Hi Edgar,

I've heard this term.  Folks have at times in my hearing said "And I'm a flying dutchman"   which is just a term of ridiculousness and could not possibly be really.  A bit like one may say,  when hearing something incredulous.  "And pigs might fly"

      List,

I know this is way off topic, but can you all tell me what this
English Idiom means when one is reffered to or something (I guess)
      as:

      "Flying Dutchmen".

I have never been called that, but I have heard the term used once
in a while and could not understand the meaning even in the context
      used.

      Thanks.

      Edgar
