*

"in this era, God isn't in covenant
      with
unbelievers"

The Calvinist Rodent wholeheartedly agrees
      !

Any real "Christian" government of the
      United
States or the United Kingdom would be
      hypocritical.
These nations are atheist and pagan
      ...NOT
Christian.

You ~can't~ impose Christian governance
      upon
countries comprised mostly of heathen (like the US
and
the UK). First of all, in democracies,
      true
Christians can't get elected (to political
      office).

Christian government being for Christian nations.
Or, at
least, nations where the majority of the
population
      are Christians.

Bro. Rat is all for
      resurrecting Christian civil
government and National
      Covenants. But, it AIN'T
likely in either the US or the
      UK.

That's the problem with this whole debate:
      We're
arguing over something that has no chance of
occurring
      in our lifetimes.

As a matter of principle,
      the Genevan Rodent is a
Theonomist in favor of
      theocratic civil government
and national covenants. God
      richly blesses
countries which have these.

As
a practical matter, though, it's history
      for
now. NOT ruling it out for the future. The Lord
      has
a habit of raising up Christian nations from
      time
to time just to show He can still do
