How about still angry, confused and unconverted?

One, Franky Schaeffer is still angry at his folks, if not the Lord. At least he sure sounds like it in his new book, Crazy for God. John Whitehead of the Rutherford Institute interviewed him here.

Two, he is still confused about the true Protestant reformed religion, confusing it with modern American arminian dispensational premillenial fundamentalism/evangelicalism.

Three, yet as somebody else put it, Franky Schaeffer Hasn't Left Contemporary Christianity, he  has merely traded  contemporary evangelical man-made traditions in worship   for  more ancient man-made traditions, both of which have forsaken the Word of God, i.e. the regulative principle of worship.  From the frying pan into the fire indeed.

If the two dimensional icons of Orthodoxy are not formally the three dimensional statues of Rome, materially we are still talking about bowing down and serving images and idols of some kind or another. The Protestant Reformation essentially bypassed the Eastern Orthodox Church after the assassination of the Protestant Patriarch, Cyril Lucaris in 1638 and consequently its gospel, worship  and government leave something very much to be desired.  But that seems to be exactly  what Franky desires very very much.

      Sad. Very sad.
