151581802 floating point routines
- Jun 24, 2014Someone was looking for 1802 floating point math routines. I ran across
an article in an old Dr. Dobbs Journal (DDJ #37, page 17) entitled "A
Floating Point Subroutine Package for the 1802" by Paul Wasserman. A
printed hex listing of the routines was included.
The code runs from 0100 to 07AF, and includes instructions for moving it
to other addresses. It stores floating point numbers in 6 bytes, which
supports a range of 10^-39 to 10^+38. Subroutines are included for + - *
/ square root, decimal-to-binary, and binary-to-decimal conversion.
Engineers like to solve problems. If there are no problems handily
