Out in the street Leanne looks puzzled when she sees Eva drop a bottle of chocolate milk while over at the garage Ty is talking to Kev about what he has to do to win Fiz back.  Fiz, meanwhile is trying to put on a brave face of it in front of the kids. Joseph and Hope have colds so she’s offered to babysit for Chesney.  As Chesney leaves, Roy arrives.

Round at the Platts’, Sarah’s trying to get David to take an interest in the fact that Martin’s partner Robyn is going to have a baby. But David is feeling hurt and refuses to talk about it.  They’re interrupted by Lily who needs some money for a school outing. Shona’s jacket is hanging over the chair so David delves in the pocket where he finds Kylie’s tangled necklace. Using some sort of extra-sensory perception he works out that Lily is responsible.

We return to Fiz’s where she’s talking to Roy while Hope and Joseph play out in the hall.  Hope is wearing a superhero cape. She tells Joseph she has magic powers and can fly down the stairs.

David has gone over to the café to have a word with Shona about lying to cover up for Lily and the necklace. He accuses her of being a bad mother and says he doesn’t want Lily turning out like Clayton.

Meanwhile, Zee and Robert are doing some weight training with Josh when Zee overdoes it and puts his back out.

Back at the café, Shona’s taking her frustration with David out on the customers.  Sarah comes in and advises her to give her brother some space.  Shona says she’ll give him some space alright, she’ll boot him into space with a one-way ticket.  She was only trying to do the right thing and help Lily save face.

David is at work in the salon when Josh comes in.  As it’s David’s half day he invites him to go into town and sink a few pints.  David suggests Josh brings along a few mates and they make a lads’ night out of it.

Robert arrives at the medical centre with Zee to find Moira and Liz behind the desk, listening to a blazing row that’s going on behind the surgery door.  It’s Alex but they don’t know who’s with him.

Over at the Rovers Eva’s reading a magazine in the back when Toyah comes in for a word.  She wants to know if Eva’s signed up for antenatal classes and offers to go with her.  Eva seems more interested in eating her chocolate bar but she promises to look into it.

We return to Fiz’s where she goes to investigate what the children are up to. Joseph is on the point of launching himself from the top of the stairs.  He tells Fiz that Hope made him do it.  Fiz looks at her daughter and realises that she might not be the perfect angel she thought.

Josh is chatting to Kev at the garage and mentions he’s going out with David.  Kev suggests he might join them but Josh tells him David has asked to see him on his own to talk about his problems with his father.

Back at Fiz’s she’s asking Hope about what just happened.  Hope simply shrugs in response.  Fiz asks her about the getting locked in the factory and Hope replies it was an accident. When she tackles her about the setting fire to the trampoline Hope gets up and runs into the other room.  Oh dear.

BREAK

We return to the medical centre waiting room where Moira is busy dusting the door to Alex’s surgery when a woman storms out. As Liz explains to Moira, the woman is Wendy, Alex’s mother. Moira’s eyes are out on stalks as Liz gives her a potted version of the baby swap story.  Zee just wants to have his back looked at and is relieved when his name is called.

Shona returns home to find David ready to go out.  She’s at her wit’s end with him but David tells her to get off his back and chill out.

Meanwhile Fiz has been crying.  She hears the front door open and hastily dries her tears when Ty comes in. He’s followed by Roy who offers to take Hope and Joseph to the café for an ice cream to give Ty and Fiz some space.

Across town David is with Josh. He tells him he’s sick of thinking about Shona.  Josh looks at his phone and tells David his other friends have cancelled so now it’s just the two of them.  David’s trying to get Josh to keep up with his drinking so when Josh goes off to the gents, David pours a shot into Josh’s beer.

Back on the street Leanne’s worried about Eva when she catches her licking out a bowl of ice cream. As she observes to Toyah, Eva hasn’t stopped eating and it’s so out of character. Quick as a flash Toyah says it’s a break-up diet – she must be upset  over Adam.

Robert arrives home and explains to Michelle why he’s so late.  He tells her about Alex and Wendy’s row.  Michelle looks puzzled – she thought the two of them always got on well.

David is getting drunker by the minute.  He tells Josh he spiked his drink but Josh laughs it off – he swapped the glasses over when David wasn’t looking. 

Finally Fiz and Ty are talking.  He apologises again for what he’s done and says that all this started because of Ruby.  Fiz goes to say something but Ty keeps talking.  Fiz tries again to say that Ruby isn’t a problem but Ty interrupts and says he’s already spoken to the doctor and he’s going to take Ruby to a therapist.  When Ty adds that he really wants this family to work, Fiz loses her nerve and can’t bring herself to reply.
