      "Often PSA [Professional Staff Association] members fear retaliation if they
      speak out.

      Members have shared their frustrations with me about the chaotic management,
      the lack of a service plan, the de-emphasis and devaluation of professional
      staff and the Research Library, the lack of communication about budgets,
      collections, programming, and procedures, the 40 unfilled positions, and
      inability of management to carry out any basic functions of a Research
      Library and General Library.

      Here is a sampling that is fairly representative of conversations and
      correspondence with members throughout the system via Executive Board
      members..."
