The Women in Science Award of the Maria Mitchell Association will
recognize an individual who has worked to increase the participation and
advancement of girls and/or women in science and mathematics.
To be considered for the Maria Mitchell Women in Science Award an
Demonstrate consistent leadership and support for the advancement of
girls and women in the fields of natural and physical sciences,
mathematics, engineering, computer science or technology.
Be someone who served as a mentor, role model or key player in a
program designed specifically to encourage and advance girls and women
in the fields of science, mathematics and technology.
Be a United States citizen
