I'm writing to highly recommend the just-released DVD set: "THE MIDDLEMAN: The Complete Series".  This one-hour action/sci-fi/fantasy/quasi-super-hero drama aired without fanfare on ABC Family in 2008 ("Fighting evil, so you don't have to.").  This very fun show (based on the series of graphic novels by "LOST" writer Javier Grillo-Marxuach) is a spoof of just about every genre convention you can name....vampires, time-travel, super-heroes, monsters-on-the-loose, government conspiracies...you name it, this show did it.  Matt Keeslar plays The Middleman, the ultimate "square" and Natalie Morales plays his recently recruited "girl wonder" assistant, Wendy Watson, an aspiring artist.  You practically need a score-card to keep track of the rapid fire dialogue and the near-countless genre references.  If this show had been produced for the Sci-Fi Channel it very likely would have been a runaway hit.  Shout! Factory has just released all 12 episodes on DVD.  It's well worth picking up...you'll breeze through every episode grinning from ear to ear at the sheer outrageousness of the show.  Check out the 34 reviewers on Amazon.com who give the show 5 stars: http://www.amazon.com/Middleman-Complete-Matt-Keeslar/dp/B001XW7ICW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1254421087&sr=1-1
