      Hi friends,

      That's may report:

      2011 Dec 17.34 UT: m1= -2.9*, Dia= <1', DC=9, tail= 0.2 in P.A. 240...10x50B...Alexandre Amorim(Florianopolis,Brazil)[comet alt. 4 deg, sun alt. -0.9 deg]

This estimate was made when Mercury was out of some clouds, and a comparison was possible. The tail was too faint (despite bright background). At 08:06 UT I detected the comet (alt. 3,5 deg).
At 08:19 UT (06:19 EBDT) the comet (alt. 6 deg) was visible between two clouds and Sun was rising. After that, clouds occulted the comet. At 08:23, when clouds disappeared, I tried to locate it again, but wasn't possible. Now (10:16 UT) the sky is 80% cloudy.

      Alex!

          Hi friends,

Sky conditions weren't fine like yesterday. Some clouds were at comet position. At sunrise, clouds went away, but the comet wasn't observed. So I think that C/2011 W3 was fainter than -1.

          That's my report:

          2011 Dec 18.34 UT: m1= [-1.0,...10x50B...Alexandre Amorim(Florianopolis,Brazil)[sunrise]
