      Hi Giorgia,

In my own research community roles varied greatly and included:
initiator, convener, coordinator, facilitator, mentor, leader, champion,
thought leader, contractor, administrator, sponsor, partner etc. Roles
were emergent and structures, volunteer, elected, targeted and paid.

There is some excellent research on roles in CoPs - some done by IBM and
some a small ad hoc team from The CPsquare Foundations of CoPs workshop
explored along with some early social network analysis (SNA) work two
      years ago.

the Roles Needed to Staff and
Support Communities of Practice, IBM Institute for Knowledge Management,

        Gentile Tarsiero,

        Cive
