      Good afternoon everyone,

You may have heard about the potential developments on the 900 block of Florida Avenue recently (several blogs/news sources reported that Harris Teeter was interested in the space). ANC 1B is interested in hearing resident's opinions of the space and what should go in there. Please see the email below, with links to the presentations and a survey. As a former ANC Commissioner, I know it is really valuable to receive opinions, concerns, etc from everyone -not just the loudest few. I encourage everyone to participate!

Last night, the ANC 1B Design Committee heard proposals from two developers - Ellis Development and JBG/Gragg - for 965 Florida Avenue (the public parcel just south of the HU Towers).  Although the Design Committee will provide feedback to ANC 1B, the Georgia Avenue Community Development Task Force is working to get as much community input as possible prior to the May 2nd ANC meeting.
You can hear presentations of both proposals by the developers at tonite's (Wed April 24) GACDTF meeting at 7:00pm at the ECAC - 733 Euclid St. NW.
If you are not able to make this meeting, please take time to review their presentations:
      Ellis Development
      and take this survey:
Community input on the disposition of public property is critical but there is not much time for a thorough outreach effort.  Please forward this widely to your neighbors and other listserves.
