      Good Evening,

Below is the schedule for the next two weeks of Phase 3 of Pepco's Harvard Conversion Project.  Crews will be removing sections of old cable and installing new cable.

      Dates                        Locations
March 4 & 5                  13th St. between Euclid and Girard St. NW

March 6                        13th St. between Florida Ave. and Belmont St. NW

March 8                 Fairmont St. from 12th to 14th St., NW

March 11                  13th St. from Clifton to Euclid St. NW

      March 12 & 13                  1200 and 1300 blocks of Euclid St. NW

March 14                13th St. from Euclid to Fairmont St. NW

March 15                1200 and 1300 blocks of Fairmont St. NW

Please note that the work above should not require any excavation work.  However, we do have a few locations where the conduit needs to be repaired prior to the installation of the cable.  Crews will first try to clear any obstructions.  If this is unsuccessful, crews will schedule excavation to repair the conduits.  These locations are located at 13th and Florida Ave., NW.

As a reminder, the Harvard Conversion Project is a six-phase project that will increase the capacity of approximately 6000 feet of 4kv to 13kv underground feeders at the Harvard Substation.

I would be glad to follow up with any questions or concerns that you may have.

      Best,

      Good Afternoon,

For several months, we have been providing updates regarding the Harvard Conversion project, a six-phase project that will increase the capacity of approximately 6000 feet of 4kv to 13kv underground feeders at the Harvard Substation by building a new conduit and upgrading cables located in the District of Columbia. Next week, crews will begin work in your community to  install new cables. The area impacting your community is part of phase 3 of the project.  Pepco has already installed new conduits, which are the pipes that house the new cable.  The next step is to install the new 13 kV cable, splice the cable, and finally energize the new feeder.

Below is the schedule of work for the next 2 weeks.  The hours of construction are from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m.

      Dates                        Locations
February 19                  13th St. from Fairmont to Girard St., NW; 1200 block of Girard St., NW; 13th St. at Belmont and Clifton Streets NW

February 20                Clifton St. from 11th to 13th St., NW; Euclid  St. from 13th to 14th St., NW; and the corners of 13th & Euclid St. and 13th & Fairmont St., NW

February 21                 Fairmont St. from 12th to 14th St., NW

February 22                 13th & Fairmont St., NW; 1300 block of Fairmont St., NW; and 13th & Girard St., NW

February 25 & 26          13th & Florida Ave., NW; and 13th St., between Belmont and Clifton St., NW

February 27 - March 1        13th St. between Belmont and Clifton St., NW; and Clifton St. between 11th and 13th St., NW

If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know and I will be glad to follow up.
