Ward 1 Fix-It for Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Greetings Ward One Neighbors:
On Wednesday, April 1st , the Mayor’s Office of Community Relations (MOCRS) will be conducting a Fix-It at 10am in the alley of the 200 Block of Elm Street, NW. At this Fix-It location, we will be addressing issues that need the attention of the Department of Public Works, Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs, District Department of Transportation, and Department of Motor Vehicles. Along with our sited location tomorrow, we will also have agencies at the following locations in the Ward:
300 Block of U Street, NW
200 Block of V Street, NW
2900 14th Street, NW
1300 Block of Harvard Street, NW
3400-3500 Block of Holmead Street, NW
3200 Block of 11th Street, NW
We will be addressing the following issues:
Abatement of Rats
Abatement of Graffiti
Boarding of Vacant Properties
Restriping of Crosswalks
Abatement of abandoned vehicles
Pruning of Trees

Operation Fix-It is Mayor Adrian M. Fenty’s multi-agency initiative aimed at abating crime, blight, and compliance issues in communities throughout the District of Columbia. The Fix-Its are held weekly and the locations are generated directly from concerned citizens.
