ANONYMOUS 4 EXPLORES AMERICAN SONG IN LONG TIME TRAVELING PROGRAM
CUs Artist Series presents a performance by renowned vocal quartet Anonymous 4 featuring fiddler Darol Anger and guitarist Scott Nygaard in Boulders Macky Auditorium Friday, December 1 at 7:30 p.m. The program, entitled Long Time Traveling, features folk hymns and revival songs, gospel songs, religious ballads and lyric folk songs, and shape-note tunes from their award winning recordings Gloryland and American Angels.

A pre-concert conversation with American Music Research Center Director Thomas Riis will be held 45 minutes before the performance in Macky Room 102. This pre-concert event is free and open to the public.
A master class with Anonymous 4 and CU Choirs will be held Friday, December 1 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Grusin Music Hall in the Imig Music Building. This event is free and open to the public for observation.
The Artist Series, now in its 70th season, has a rich tradition of bringing the finest performers in the world to Boulders Macky Auditorium. Recent performers on the series have included James Galway, Hilary Hahn, and Bobby McFerrin. In addition to serving audiences with an exciting variety of performances, the Artist Series has an important educational mission, including outreach events planned in conjunction with almost every concert.
