      To all a cappella singers!
A last minute surprise, but one contemporary a cappella singers won't want to miss! Tomorrow (Saturday) evening, 7:30 pm at Unity Church, 3021 S. University Blvd, between Yale and Hampden (10 blocks south of the I-25 exit).
Treat yourself to Canto Spiritus' presentation of "Voice Dance," an eclectic program of diverse music that celebrates the human voice. From original works inspired by Japanese Haiku to music of The Beatles done in styles ranging from Gregorian chant to Cuban, there's something to please everyone.
The program title is taken from a featured selection, one of the exciting series of vocal jazz compositions published under the name "Voice Dance" by Greg Jasperse, talented Chicago studio singer and clinician recently transplanted to Los Angeles as a member of the long standing professional recording/performing sextet called "Sixth Wave." Greg is also on the faculty of Julie Williams' amazing "Rocky Mountain Vocal Jazz Camp" that operates this year from July 30 to August 5 at Deer Creek Camp above Evergreen. The program also features New York Voices' "Love You Like a Rock" whose director and baritone is Peter Eldridge, also a RMVJC faculty member.
Saturday June 3, 7:30 PM: Tickets are $15 at the door or $12 online. Discounts for seniors and groups are available by calling Kevin Bradley at 303-842-4443. For more information about Canto Spiritus, go to
