      Hello A Cappella Fans and Singers,

      It's time once again for the Mile High Vocal Jam.  Here are the 10 things you need to know about the MHVJ.  If you've never been, it's probably because you didn't know what it really is...

      1.  The MHVJ is a music festival all about a cappella singing.

      2.  Saturday Nov 5, 2011 a cappella classes and clinics all day long.  Lunch included if you sign up $40 adults and $20 for students.  Concert tickets half price with Saturday registration.

      3.  There are 3 concerts all open to the public!

      4.  Friday Nov 4, 2011 7:30PM - Headline Concert featuring Nota (season 1 Sing Off winners), Simply Put (LA) Jazz/Pop group, and the DU IdioSingcrasies (the 2010 MHVJ competition winners.

      5.  Saturday High School and Collegiate a cappella competition.  12-16 groups battling it out for awesome prizes and bragging rights.

      6.  Sunday Nov 6 Local Favorites Concert featuring Face!!  m-pact (from LA), and a local act TBA!!

      7.  Claude McKnight from Take 6 will be there to teach, answer Q&A, and generally hang out with you all day Saturday the 5th.

      8.  Members of Urban Method, Colorado's own (who is appearing on the NBC Sing Off currently).  They will be there all weekend to teach classes, judge the competition, and to pass on their dream of singing to you!

      9.  Registration is open to the public and is online at http://mhvj.org.  Tickets are also online and at the King Center box office on the Auraria Campus.

      10.  The 2011 MHVJ is being held at the King Center on the Auraria Campus in the heart of downtown Denver November 4-6, 2011
