Door sale is $20/$16 for students/seniors; school group sales have closed.OUR 2008 ROCKY MOUNTAINHARMONY SWEEPSTAKES JUDGES(alpha order)Joe Herbert:Joe is co-founder, baritone, and primary arranger for the JPF International Vocal Group of the Year, Colorado's Groove Society. Graduate of the University of Northern Colorado, Joe is also Director of Vocal Jazz at Metropolitan State College of Denver. With the release of its internationally acclaimed CD, Groove Society has received radio play from coast to coast and around the world. The group has performed throughout North America, sharing billing with music legends including Bonnie Raitt, Herbie Hancock, The Neville Brothers, and many more.Marc Johnson:An arranger, vocalist and songwriter, Marc has a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Colorado Christian University. In addition to performances in the United States, British Columbia, Taiwan and Japan, Marc recently sang first tenor and was alternate vocal percussionist with Cool Shooz as well as interim vocalist with the 17th Avenue AllStars. Fortunate to have absolute pitch, he is now in the early stages of graduate work on Frequency Perception as Related to the Nature of Human Intelligence.Lois Petersen:Teaching music for 31 years, Lois has inspired thousands of students from kindergarten through high school to experience the joy of singing. Under her leadership, award-winning choirs have graced stages in Michigan and Colorado. In 1994, she started Raging Harmonies, a contemporary a cappella group at Westminster High that continues to this day. The group has received many honors including two selections as the Best Of High School A Cappella CD (in international competition) and winning Audience Favorite at the 1999 Regional Harmony Sweepstakes.Monika Vischer:A nationally known radio host, Monika is heard locally on Colorado Public Radio (KVOD-FM). Growing up, Monika performed in theater and music, taking acting roles and playing flute. She has a degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Northern Colorado. While there, Monika played flute in UNC's top wind ensemble and sang with the Grammy Award nominated vocal jazz sextet, the Axidentals, headlining clinics and festivals in the US and Canada. When not on the airwaves at KVOD, she continues to play and sing professionally.
