No. It would have been a fairly large manned facility with multiple
satellite downlinks. I have been to the Cisco Grove site you list (and
the FAA and ex-AT&T Cisco Butte sites on the south side of the highway).
There are many "Red Mountains" in California including one that is an
SBC microwave site serving alternate PSTN routes to Santa Rosa. I am
looking for info specifically on one that was used by ASA (Army
Security Agency) for cold war and Vietnam era intercept traffic.
