In response to John Warne's query as to whether or not anyone had coords
for Stanfield, not a problem:
AT&T has a microwave station, WAN50, licensed on these frequencies (all
3710.0, 3770.0, 3790.0, 3870.0, 3950.0, 4030.0, 4110.0, 5945.2, 6004.5,
Also, as an interesting note, BellSouth Telecommunications has three
repeaters licensed with the same coordinates. All are class FB2C,
meaning that they have telephone interconnections (gee, what a
coincidence). The frequencies are 939.3875, 939.4000, and 939.4125.
Callsign here is WPEG551.
Also, got some information about how MCI uses their UHF repeaters
(451.300, 462.525) that is probably the same as how AT&T uses theirs. A
knowledgeable source tells me that all have phone patches to the network
orderwires and are rarely used except when there is something like a
fiber break, when they would be heavily used by service restoration
crews. I'd assume AT&T's usage of 451.325 is the same.
