Hi all- Doing a little reading on the balst valve tests (1982) and section 770-225-301.

When the blast valves were changed from disc type to louvered, were they more safe to maintain / PM / inspect or operate? I have had little chance to read about the louvered type. They do not appear to be as robust as the disc 50 psi variety.

Trying to understand the rationality on the change out from Disc to lourvered.
