In case I missed something...
Looking for information on Laurel Mountain WV.
Alberts page has an article from 1981, showing where
vandals had shot the radome on the tower. If you
look, it had two dishes on it, one that was at the
top of the tower, the second much lower down. (the
pictures actually show a couple of temp dishes also.
I am wondering where this site played into the big
scheme of things.
In addition to the microwave site, this site was also
an earth station, with a second building behind
the microwave site, 12 foot high chainlink fence with
electric gate for vehicles, and for people. Concrete
slab in front of the gate, possibly for checking
vehicles? All the rest was gravel or dirt.
Motion sensors on the fence, and each corner of the
site had a pole light, like you would find on a road,
hanging over the outside of the fence, to illuminate
the outside of the fence area.
There is three concrete pilings in the fenced area
that appeared to support a dish.
