First Annual “Kids Hooked on Music” Exposition at the Cascade School of Music
Of all the instruments, it is perhaps the violin that has the widest range of expression closest to the human voice. If you’d like to explore the violin world with your child, the Cascade School of Music will be hosting a free introduction to this marvelous instrument on Presidents Day, February 21 from 11AM-noon. The best part of this event is that it will feature kids teaching other kids.
15 student violinists, of all ages and abilities, from the Suzuki violin studio of Diane Allen will be on hand to perform and also to help your child try out a violin for themselves. There will be lots of time for questions, and information will be available on renting violins and on the different opportunities in the community for kids to learn to play the
This event is free of charge and open to interested kids of all ages. The Cascade School of Music is located at 200 NW Pacific Park Lane in Bend, just off Portland Ave on the Deschutes River. For more information please call 541-382-6866
(There a quite a few homeschoolers involved in this ~ ages 4-17)
